Penn State Health Medical Group Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) in State College is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for an inpatient/outpatient cardiology position, who is highly motivated, team-oriented and patient centered with an interest in joining our team of cardiac nurses, sonographers, and faculty members to provide exceptional cardiac care for our patients.
HVI provides a broad range of cardiac services out of our Benner Pike location to include cardiac and vascular ultrasound, general cardiology consultative services, cardiology services for Penn State Athletics and Student Health, Electrophysiology, and device monitoring services. In addition, we provide clinical rotations for Penn State College of Medicine students through our local 4-year regional campus, and for our Family and Community Medicine residents.
The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual looking for the opportunity to expand our growing practice and should be flexible, compassionate, and organized. The candidate should also be comfortable with teaching and is encouraged to take advantage of research opportunities, if interested. Previous out-patient or inpatient cardiac care experience, or hospitalist experience preferred.

Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
Two years work experience as a RN required.
Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.
Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
