Shift: Day

Hours: 7:30a - 4:30p


The Referral & Pre Authorization Specialist is responsible for doing referrals and prior authorizations for all tests, x-rays & studies that require one before they can be scheduled. They also have to log all referrals & prior authorities completed into excel & vision. If their work is caught up they can help out the provider's assistants.


High School Diploma or equivalent required


Ability to speak, read, write and audibly understand the English language

Ability to use and ICD-9 & CPT code books

Ability to lift 25 pounds

Ability to deal courteously with patients. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees

Ability to operate computer keyboard, terminal, and general office equipment

Ability to multi task, prioritize time effectively & work independently
