The Vice President of Finance, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (CFO, HMC) and Penn State Health Medical Group (VP Finance, HMC & Academic Medical Group) is part of the Penn State Health (PSH) finance department and reports directly to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Penn State Health (PSH). The VP of Finance, HMC & AMG also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the President of HMC and the President of Penn State Health Medical Group. Responsible for day-to-day financial accountability for both the Hershey Medical Center & Academic Medical Groups as part of the senior leadership team for the entities. The individual provides financial and administrative leadership to HMC & AMG with responsibilities which include: the continuous implementation of strategies to increase operational efficiencies with no compromise to quality of care while reducing costs; defining and establishing the necessary management and accountability systems to support a customer-driven, results-oriented and high-performance finance function; leading a coordination with the College of Medicine; responsible for the optimum strategic and operational effectiveness of general accounting, decision support, and finance support for the various hospital departments. The VP of Finance, HMC & AMG is a key leader in the organization, while also building the collective partnership within the PSH Finance Shared Services model, to leverage the centralized functions in a cohesive and collaborative fashion, while also utilizing the resources to best provide actionable financial insights to the HMC senior leadership team. The VP of Finance, HMC & AMG has executive level responsibilities and authorities for the HMC & AMG finances and is an integral part of each entity's executive leadership team.
Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role in a large ($1.0 billion revenue), complex organization is required.
MBA or CPA preferred.
Health Care and Systems experience highly desirable.
Academic medical center &/or academic medical group experience highly preferred.
