Responsiblefor performing a variety of standardized imaging procedures. Setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices and maintaining related records under the direction of the Senior Imaging Staff. The Radiologic Tech explains procedures and preparation to patients as well as ensures that the Universal Protocol Verification of Correct Patient, Procedures and Side/Site(for Invasive or Surgical Procedures) is followed on every patient. Schedules patients and determines if any changes need to be made on a daily basis. Records procedural and historical information in the RIS.
M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). or registry eligible.
If registry eligible, must pass ARRT boards within 6 months of date of hire.
P REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1year job related experience preferred.
P HYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
Ableto stand constantly; walk & sit occasionally.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
