SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a qualified Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team as a Sleep Medicine APP in the outpatient setting. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the clinical work will be at the Sleep Research and Treatment center. The position includes evaluation and treatment of various sleep disorders including sleep apnea, Insomnia, Hypersomnia, Restless legs syndrome. Evaluation of CPAP and BiPAP devices and adjustments of the pressures. The candidate will also provide support to improve therapy compliance. The candidate needs to be a team player and work jointly with other providers, technologist and support staff. As a teaching facility, there will be opportunities to teach medical students and residents from various departments.
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Relevant experience preferred.
