SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for assisting the pharmacists in processing, preparing and dispensing prescription medications. Provide extraordinary customer service to all our patients via face to face and phone interactions. Professionally interact and communicate with Medical and Patient teams throughout the institution. Organize and manage stock to ensure smooth and efficient daily activities. Responsible for assisting the pharmacists in processing, preparing and dispensing prescription medications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required. 6 months of recent (within the past two years) experience in a retail pharmacy with: Educational background in medical terminology, sig codes and computer use Previous customer service skills Previous patient interaction and communication skills Previous third party billing and computer experience including prior authorizations, prescription refills and inventory management PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certified Boards) required. Compounding experience- not required but recommended. Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions required. Good verbal communication, professional, excellent typing skills and proficiency with Math and Algebra required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize required. Must pass a proficiency test with a 70% score

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to sit & walk constantly; stand occasionally. Able to lift 0-10 lbs constantly; 11-35 lbs occasionally. Able to carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-35 lbs occasionally. Able to push 0-10 lbs constantly; 11-20 lbs frequently; 21-50 lbs occasionally. Able to pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-50 lbs occasionally. Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly. Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
