J OB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting operational excellence consultants, senior consultants, improvement teams, process owners, stakeholders and leadership by completing tasks related to achieving engagement goals and reaching successful business outcomes. Tasks include learning and applying process improvement / operational excellence principles, systems and tools. Must demonstrate strong potential, willingness and capabilities in the core competencies within Lean, Six Sigma, project management, change management, and facilitation skills. Responsible for obtaining required skills through training, certification requirements and cycles of learning.

M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in engineering, business, healthcare or related field required.

2 years of job related experience required, including working in problem solving teams with demonstrated experience facilitating meetings, teams and activities.

Certification and training requirements and cycles of learning as defined by PSH OpEx programs for RIE Leader required or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Lean certification or Six Sigma Yellow Belt required or ability to obtain within 18 months.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, systems thinking and problem solving skills.

Ability to act as a change agent in the pursuit of operational excellence, including consistently delivering on and exceeding customer expectations and building a continuous improvement culture with front line problem solvers.

Basic Lean skills - 5S, Standard Work, 8 Wastes, etc.

Basic Six Sigma skills - VOC, CTQ, Process Mapping, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Data Collection/Analysis, etc.

Basic Change Management skills - Stakeholder Analysis, Case for Change, Elevator Speech, etc.

Basic Facilitation skills Meeting Facilitation, Brainstorming, Voting, Affinitizing, Benefit/Effort Matrix, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree in related field preferred.
