J OB SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse/RN is responsible to function as a part of an interdisciplinary team as an expert clinician and decision maker on application of resources required for patient care involving a crisis or emergent situation. Determine the appropriate level of care in cases of emergency or emergent changes involving the patient’s condition, respond and provide direction on priorities in time of surge, consult and serve as the liaison between the Staff Nurse & Physicians.

The candidate will need to consistently demonstrate a level of skill and knowledge appropriate for their position. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to think beyond the present situation to anticipate, predict and resolve potential issues before the problem occurs.

M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s Degree in Nursing required

5years of related work experience required with extensive and varied critical care and/or emergency department experience

Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the PA Board of Nurse Examiners required

Current BLS and ACLS required

6months of experience working as a RN

P REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

ATLS/CCRN certification preferred.
