SUMMARY OF POSITION :

This new Nurse Practitioner position will provide comprehensive high quality care to Pediatric Pulmonary Sleep Medicine patients as part of the outpatient Pediatric Pulmonary team and will include hold 6 clinic sessions a week for sleep disorder patients including sleep apnea on positive airway pressure (PAP). This APP will need to provide orders for PAP therapy, review and sign all DME and home health orders, follow up therapy compliance with electronic logs, and respond to all Pediatric EMR messages and phone calls. Compliance downloads can be pulled online to monitor compliance. This monitoring and additional adjustments are required outside of regular appointment times. Due to the amount of work required outside of regular appointment times for these patients this APP will have 6 clinic sessions a week instead of the typical 8 clinic sessions a week. This position will be Monday – Friday, dayshift only. No call, no weekends, no major holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.

  • Two years work experience as a RN required.

  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

  • Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation. Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
