SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Be part of the team of Physicians and Advance Practice Clinicians of the Penn State Division of Pediatric Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in the medical management and surgical care of pre-and post-surgical patients, performing such functions as making rounds, history & physical examinations, care of wounds, and inpatient/outpatient care evaluations. Primary clinical setting will be inpatient. There is no night or weekend call requirement. Candidate should have experience in providing care for pediatric patients. The position is scheduled for (4) 10 hour days.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Master’s degree in Nursing

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Primary or Acute Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Due to the level of patient acuity, Family NP's will not be considered at this time.
