Penn State Health Shared Services is seeking a Director, Expenditure Cycle to lead our exceptional payroll and accounts payable teams! This is a 50%/50% remote hybrid opportunity that requires onsite presence half of the time.

This is a strong opportunity for an individual who thrives on ERP optimization as the Director will have the opportunity to continue to develop the newly-integrated system while finalizing Key Performance Indicators that will continue to measure performance.

Summary:

Responsible for directing and managing the expenditure functions of Penn State Health. This includes strategic technology deployment to promote efficiency and cost effectiveness around the processes and procedures of the expenditure cycles. Continuous improvement in the development of best in class business practices, staff competencies, policies and procedures as they relate to the expenditure cycle. Responsible for the development and applicable onboarding of new entities created/acquired under PSH.

Responsibilities:

• Direct all expenditure activities for PSH, consult and collaborate with constituents upstream and downstream.

• Ensure that all expenditures are properly aligned with organizational control practices and regulatory requirements. Manage staff to include; sourcing, recruitment, performance management, development and mentoring for all applicable areas of responsibility.

• Work collaboratively with the Center of excellence and other Peers on various projects. Direct and manage any application enhancements to the expenditure cycle technology platforms to ensure adoption which promote efficiency an effectiveness to further support the goals of PSH.

• Review budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Healthcare related field

Three (3) years project management or expenditure cycle related experience required.

Project management experience and knowledge of the expenditure cycles to include knowledge of the linkage between Supply Chain, Human Resources and the treasury functions

Direct or indirect management of resources to execute goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Master's Level Degree

Experience managing multiple competing priorities

Ability to communicate effectively.
