This is an extraordinary opportunity for a Pediatric physician leader to expand integrated clinical programs, advance the academic mission and elevate research at one of the nation's leading academic medical centers and Children's Hospitals. Amidst a rapidly changing health care landscape, PSH is transforming itself into a comprehensive university health system to include primary, specialty and acute care locations spanning the region. As the leader in the delivery of pediatric clinical care, the Chair must possess a vision and guide the Department to the next level through, growth and advancement of clinical programs, education, and scholarly activity. As Physician-in-Chief of the PSHCH, this individual will be dedicated to the delivery of the highest quality patient care and consistency in clinical care standards, driven by patient safety requirements and clinical outcomes monitoring. They will support the transformation of care delivery advancing a culture of excellence in pediatric care.
The Chair may also have the opportunity to guide children's services across PSH providing strategic leadership and overseeing system pediatric clinical operations. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a reputation as an outstanding clinician. They will have a passion for academic medicine and providing an environment conducive to advancing the academic mission as well as experience working in an integrated pediatric clinical program. The next Chair will be an individual who is committed to providing superior care, and a desire to improve systems and processes to reach PSCOM and PSH goals. Candidates must hold a medical doctorate degree, board certification in Pediatrics and possess qualifications for appointment to Professor at PSCOM.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a progressive physician leader to determine the strategies for serving the children of central Pennsylvania, to train the future pediatricians of tomorrow, and to seek answers to the academic questions impacting patient care.
