Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is hiring experienced Respiratory Therapists for Respiratory Therapist II opportunities. This is a great opportunity to join the first group of respiratory professionals at this new site!
Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center will bring acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties. The facility, set to open in the Fall of 2021, will feature 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building. This is a unique opportunity to be part of opening a new hospital with a highly collaborative and team-oriented culture.
J OB SUMMARY:
Leads and participates in the day-to-day activities of the Respiratory Services Department and monitors the general activities of its satellites. Monitors, evaluates, and coaches Registered Respiratory Therapists daily performance and productivity. Adjusts staffing levels according to the Respiratory Clinical Information System (RCIS) crewing guide.
M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree or equivalent experience (2 years)
Graduate of an approved Respiratory program including clinical experience or prior work experience
Knowledge of respiratory therapy theory and practice required, preferably through the completion of an AMA approved school
Maintains a current credential as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Maintains a current license by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Respiratory Therapist
Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
Approximately three-five years of experience to demonstrate an advanced level of Respiratory Care
