SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The Medical Office Associate will function as a member of the healthcare team. The Medical Office Associate (MOA) is responsible for providing routine administrative as well as tasks under the supervision of a provider/supervisor within their scope as outlined by policies and procedures to meet patient and provider needs.
At Enola Family Medicine and Pediatrics, the MOA will perform administrative tasks for the adult, children, and newborn population including:
Scheduling
Checking in and checking out patients
Pool messages
Answering phones
Referrals
Scheduling for testing
Audits and authorizations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma or equivalent required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working in a medical office preferred
6 months of customer service experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Basic computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively interact courteously with a variety of staff and patients
Ability to solve problems, or seek assistance from supervisor when necessary
Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Occasional kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching
