Shift: Day

Hours: 8:30a - 5:00p - 3 days a week

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, under the supervision of the Physician and clinical team, to assist with establishing a diagnosis and a therapy plan. Assists with gathering and documenting the data necessary to implement the therapeutic plan of care of the Physician and clinical team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide therapeutic interventions with patients on a regular basis.

Provide counseling/therapeutic interactions for all assigned patients.

Ensure a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers. Observe and report potential safety risks in accordance with policies/procedures.

Conduct educational groups, based on patient need.

Provide direct physical care as needed, including assistance with activities of daily living, behavior management in accordance with training, and collaboration with leadership to determine need for/proper use of physical restraint if absolutely indicated.

Work with the patient to achieve their goals.

Demonstrate and maintain competency with seclusion and/or restraint procedures, according to policy.

Use non-violent intervention techniques; complete/maintain current training in both violent and non-violent restraint application/maintenance.

Demonstrate the ability to identify, and effectively assist with the management of, violent or potentially violent patients.

Perform rounding on/visualization of patients as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree
