SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center adult service line is looking for a physician assistant to provide outpatient services for individuals 18 years of age or older. The program is currently looking to recruit an experienced physician assistant with Psychiatric experience for an open full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be Pennsylvania licensed and have 2-3 years of experience providing psychiatric care.

General duties of the outpatient aspect of the position will include evaluations, medication management, and interaction with clinical and physician staff. Outpatient and Telehealth services will be provided at Hershey Medical Center and other sites as needed and work with an established collaborative team of behavioral medicine providers. Requires 1-3 years of experience working with the chronically mentally ill and experience with a broad spectrum of diagnosis and medication management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania.

  • National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • 2-3 years' experience working in Outpatient Psychiatry
